Cosmetic Surgery Procedures

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that helps a patient obtain a beautifully contoured body line. During liposuction procedure, special instrument called a cannula is inserted in the fatty tissue, fat is loosened and vacuumed out of the body. During lipodissolve procedure, a cannula is also used but the fat is emulsified prior to being suctioned out of the body. Liposuction can be performed on various areas of the body, the most popular of these being the buttocks and the stomach. When considering plastic surgery, it is best to consult board-certified plastic surgeons as they have the most experience and training. Plastic surgeons must first receive a medical degree and then undergo five to eight years of general and plastic surgery training. Some surgeons also choose to undergo additional fellowship training in order to specialize in a certain area of plastic surgery.
